I’m running for State House District 9, which covers parts of Leon and Jefferson Counties, in the Florida House of Representatives. This is going to be an exciting campaign and I appreciate your interest.

I first fell in love with Tallahassee when I moved here in 1993 to attend FSU on an athletic scholarship to play football for the Florida State Seminoles. Tallahassee is where I graduated from college, it’s where I met my wife, it’s where I run my business, and it’s where we are raising our children. I want to give back to a community that has given my family and me so much. It is in this spirit that I’m asking for this opportunity to serve our community – to serve you – in the State House.

All too often it seems our government is paralyzed by the petty bickering and partisanship of career politicians. I pledge to you, that if elected, I will represent your interests and concerns in the state legislature. On issues ranging from education to homeowner affordability I want to use my small business experience to bring a fresh, results oriented perspective to our state government.

I know what hard work is, and I know the importance of dedication and commitment. Our community faces unique challenges, but in my life I’ve learned that a challenge is just an opportunity for success. In the coming years we have an opportunity to challenge ourselves and our community to do better; to leave behind a better community for our children – yours and mine.

Coach Bobby Bowden once said, “Don’t go to the grave with life unused.” I have been privileged to have many blessings in my life. However, I know there is so much more that I can offer and I hope you will give me the chance to represent you.
