Small Business Endorses Peter Boulware for House District 9
Aug 13, 2008

Tallahassee, August 12, 2008 – The National Federation of Independent Business, Florida’s leading small-business advocacy association, today announced its endorsement of Peter Boulware for House District 9, which represents portions of Leon and Jefferson counties.

“NFIB supports Peter Boulware because he has the best interests of business owners in mind,” NFIB/Florida Executive Director Bill Herrle said. “His main priorities are strengthening the economy and lowering property taxes, some of small business’ greatest challenges.”

Boulware moved to Tallahassee in 1993 to play for the Florida State University football team, and has been dedicated to Tallahassee ever since, building a career in the car business and now serving as Vice President for Legacy Toyota.

"I am honored to earn NFIB’s endorsement as the best candidate for House District 9,” Boulware said. “I know that lower taxes and less government regulations will help small businesses grow and I will work to relieve those burdens and improve Florida’s economy.”

NFIB’s endorsement is important for Boulware.  Small-business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances to go to the polls, increasing the likelihood that a pro-small business candidate will be elected.

NFIB’s political support is based on the candidate’s position and record on small-business issues.  The endorsement comes from the NFIB/Florida SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust, the political action committee for NFIB/Florida’s membership.  Boulware’s endorsement brings the considerable grassroots support of Florida’s small-business owners to his campaign.
